Fanny Brice
Fanny Brice came up with the character of Baby Snooks at a party
in 1926, but it would be years before she brought her to radio. When the New Zeigfield Follies
opened In 1934, Brice appeared on stage in baby garb and brought down the house. The routine had its
first permanent run when it was added to the "Zeigfield Follies of the Air"
on CBS in 1936. Fanny Brice at 46 now had a second career playing the now
famous brat on the radio.
